Public APIs

1,816 free public APIs, across 51 categories — searchable, documented, and organized so you can find the right one in seconds instead of scrolling a 2,000-line README.

This site is a documentation-as-code companion to the community-curated public-apis GitHub project: the same data, restructured into a searchable reference with one page per category.

What's in here

Every API is listed with the same five fields used by the source project, so nothing is lost in translation:

Field What it tells you
API Name, linked to its homepage or docs
Description One line on what it does
Auth No, apiKey, OAuth, X-Mashape-Key, or User-Agent
HTTPS Whether it's served over HTTPS
CORS Whether it's callable directly from browser JavaScript

See How to read the tables for the full explanation.

About this site

This is an independent documentation build — not an official product of the public-apis maintainers or APILayer. All API data is sourced from the public-apis README, MIT licensed, and reproduced here in a searchable, per-category format. Found an error or want to add an API? Contributions go to the source project, not this site — this site rebuilds from it.
